The release date for Lil Nas X’s long-awaited debut album, ‘Montero’ has been confirmed.
Nas announced the album’s release date in a social media post on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. He wrote: “Creating this album has been therapy for me. I’ve learned to let go of trying to control people’s perception of who I am, what I can do, and where I will be. I’ve realized the only opinion of me that really matters is my own.”
In addition to the release date, Nas also shared a trailer for the album on social media, which includes a previously unreleased song. Nas appears in the album trailer as a newscaster for Montero News Network.
Last year, the rapper became famous for his song ‘Old Town Road’, which was followed by his Grammy-nominated debut EP, ‘7’.
