MTV has confirmed some exciting news! Snoop Dogg will host the 2026 VMAs. The show returns to the West Coast for the first time since 2017. Last year, LL Cool J hosted from New York. This time, Snoop brings unmistakable California energy to the stage.

Snoop’s résumé speaks volumes. He has covered the Olympics for NBC, coached on ‘The Voice’ and rocked the Super Bowl Halftime Show alongside Dr Dre. So of course, hosting the VMAs feels like a natural next step.

In a statement, Snoop called MTV part of his story since the beginning. He noted that some of his biggest career moments happened on that very stage, from ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ to countless unforgettable performances.

The VMAs air live from Los Angeles on Sunday, September 27, on CBS. Furthermore, the show simulcasts on MTV and streams on Paramount+.
