BlocBoy JB returns with ‘Forgot About Bloc’ inspired by Dr Dre and Eminem classic: Watch

It has been three years since the remix of ‘Look Alive’, so the itch to want to reemerge on the scene—in a big way—is understandable. Will he be able to do it again? Who knows, but the Interscope Records-signed recording artist is trying. Calling attention to the fact that people seem to have forgotten about him, Drake collaborator BlocBoy JB shares a new track titled, ‘Forgot About Bloc’, which samples the famous 2001 classic single: Forgot About Dre. If you were around and alive when the track and video came out, you understand how big it was and the kind of impact it made for Dr Dre’s return to Hip-Hop as a primary artist slash rapper. Performed by the Compton-native icon featuring vocals from his protégé Eminem over twenty years ago, the Tennesse rapper’s version isn’t as conceptual as theirs. Still, it does show him having a good time, and that’s what matters the most. Watch the Yoo Ali-directed video below.
