As we’re still in the thick of this current pandemic, Facebook is seizing the opportunity to get in on the ever-expanding market for video group chats. In a direct attempt to compete with the likes of Zoom and House Party, Facebook has emerged with their own version, named ‘Messenger Rooms’. Facebook users will be able to use the platform to create their room which offers perks such as no time limit on rooms and an allowance for up to 50 people in a room at a time. Users without a Facebook account can join rooms as well.

Facebook also has plans to roll out the platform on WhatsApp and Instagram.
