Ciara turns “Ciara Day” into a masterclass in giving back, donating $50K to Atlanta youth
The R&B icon turns “Ciara Day” into a masterclass in giving back.

Ciara just turned a hometown honour into hard cash. The R&B superstar pledged $50,000 to Atlanta youth during the city’s second annual “Ciara Day”, held July 28. Ten local organisations—spanning music, film, fashion, sport and technology—will each receive $5,000.
In December 2025, the singer gave $500,000 to the Atlanta Community Food Bank amid rising food costs. This latest gift, however, targets opportunity rather than emergency.
“Atlanta has always been home to me”, Ciara said, crediting the city’s entertainment community for investing in her early career.
Mayor Andre Dickens called the donation a reflection of Atlanta’s talent pipeline, adding that it opens doors for tomorrow’s artists and innovators. Whilst plenty of celebrities mark hometown honours with a plaque, the ‘Dance With Me’ singer chose to fund the next generation instead.
