Creators from all fifty African union member states can now enter the 58th ceremony.

The 58th NAACP Image Awards is widening its spotlight. Ten new categories now celebrate African film, television and music. Finally, creators across the continent finally get a seat at this table.
From the big screen to the recording studio, the awards will honour excellence everywhere. Afrobeats stars, Amapiano producers and Nollywood storytellers should take note. Furthermore, the programme welcomes work from all fifty-five African Union member states.
Eligibility is simple. Your work must have launched in 2026. Submit it by November 13, 2026. Moreover, the process stays straightforward.
Whilst the continent already shapes global culture, this move adds official recognition. In addition, it builds a bridge between African artists and international audiences.
Imagine a Highlife legend or a Gospel choir collecting that trophy. Picture a breakout Afro-Fusion act taking the stage. Dreams start here.
