Covey – Gecko (Submission)
How many of us have dreams where we place a person of interest, close to us because we aren’t in good standing when we are awake? Sometimes, our loved ones appear in our subconscious to comfort us. Guessing the intention of Covey’s lyrics wouldn’t make them valid, but as the British multi-instrumentalist and vocalist strums the strings of his guitar, he creates a hazy soundtrack for the dream you will have tonight. Covey doesn’t outstay his welcome, so at least you know you will get to bed in a decent time. Check out ‘Gecko’, which is the first single from his new album out now.
Eyes Wide Open – Solitude (Submission)
Swedish band Eyes Wide Open recently released their first single, ever, which must have been terrifying. Luckily, the recording is full of high-energy; a production, which sounds as if it were for a proper video game. The group’s album is out now.
Berel – Nylon (Submission)
‘Nylon’ is a song about comfort, being broken, and knowing that that person will be there for you when you fall. Back in February, the Los Angeles, California-based singer poured his style of Alternative R&B into the world. Just last week, the official visual came out. It narrates the story od a soul dreaming about a distant lover, finding his love, going on a jourey, and then in the end, letting her go. Berel, you have a beautiful voice. Keep using it for entertainment.
Tribe Friday – Four (Submission)
‘Badger’ is one of my absolute favourite records I’ve heard this year. I believe it has all of the right things in the right places to make it enjoyable. But what makes it even better is the purpose of the record. It is about wanting/seeking approval from others, which most human beings can understand. Tribe Friday’s “screechy pop” brand will resonate with sad teenagers (and adults) worldwide, once they’ve had a chance to hear it.
Natalie Lynn – One (Submission)
If you’re looking for something smooth to play when you’re sipping wine at the dinner table or your bed, the eighties nostalgic ‘One’ by Toronto, Canada-based singer Natalie Lynn will give you what you want. Check out the music video below.
T-Shirt Dream Party – Mellow Yellow (Smoke Trees) (Submission)
British Indie-Alternative band T-Shirt Dream Party recently shared their debut single, ‘Mellow Yellow (Smoke Trees)’ with the world. It is an engaging ever-changing musical composition that wisps like cold breeze on a scorching hot Summer day. Moreover, anything that remotely reminds me of Capital Cities will always get a pass with me if it sounds this good.
Rock Europa – Inbetween (Submission)
I don’t know. I think I experienced the feeling of being “stuck” before, but it isn’t a feeling I can tolerate for too long. Whenever someone wanted to control me, I found myself leaving, or removing myself from their life. Rock Europa, a band that hails from Nashville via Mississippi, wrote and produced a song about the moments of transition/being stuck inbetween.
