Meet Nyané Lebajoa

When looking online to find a professional hairstylist to dye my hair seafoam green, Google showed me pictures of South African-born model Nyané Lebajoa. It was about two years ago; and since I’ve been a fan of her style. Born in Middlesbrough and moved to Lesotho when she was at the age of three, Lebajoa now identifies as an international influencer, model, and entrepreneur. With two affluent businesses—Temper by Nyané (wig and hair collection) and Nyphi (creative production company)—and an Instagram account with over 1.3 million followers, the doll-faced businesswoman has collaborated with major brands like NYX Cosmetics and Nike. Now, living in Amsterdam, the fraternal twin is enjoying the fruits of her labour and modelling for countless brands. Not bad for a small giant. She’s only 5’1”, but her accomplishments are colossal.

If you’re not familiar with my Model of the Week features, in this section, we’ve written about the likes of David Gandy, Georgia May Jagger, Crystal Renn and Aleece Wilson, who was featured in Beyoncé’s Part 2: #WhatIsPretty video. Be on the lookout for more of this rising star.
