Pooh Shiesty denied bond as lawyer questions federal case
Attorney points to delays in arrest whilst rapper remains in custody over serious charges.

Pooh Shiesty, best known for his association with Gucci Mane as a signee to his record label, will remain behind bars after a judge denied his request for bond in a federal case tied to alleged kidnapping and robbery.
During a recent hearing, the Memphis artist—born Lontrell Williams Jr—was denied release, with the court citing concerns over his prior legal history. The judge noted that he was already under strict conditions, including house arrest, at the time of the alleged incident.
Prosecutors accuse Pooh Shiesty and others of orchestrating an “armed takeover” at a Dallas recording studio. Authorities claim the situation was linked to a dispute involving his contract with 1017 Records.
Following the hearing, his attorney, Bradford Cohen, pushed back on the strength of the case. He questioned why federal agents took months to make an arrest, suggesting inconsistencies in the timeline.
If convicted, Pooh Shiesty could face a potential life sentence. For now, he remains in custody as the case continues to unfold.
