Alabama Shakes announce first album in 11 years ‘I Must Be Dreaming’
The GRAMMY-winning Rock trio return with a new studio album, fresh music, and an extensive international tour.

Alabama Shakes are officially back. The GRAMMY-winning Rock trio have announced ‘I Must Be Dreaming’, their first studio album in eleven years, set for release on August 28 via Island Records. The long-awaited project follows 2015’s acclaimed ‘Sound & Color’, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and earned multiple GRAMMY Awards.
The forthcoming album features the previously released singles ‘American Dream’ and ‘Another Life’, whilst the band’s next track, ‘I Feel Hope Coming’, arrives later this week. Frontwoman Brittany Howard described the album title as reflecting both the uncertainty and beauty of the modern world, calling it a reminder that hope and hardship can exist side by side.
The record marks a new chapter for Howard, guitarist Heath Fogg and bassist Zac Cockrell, who reunited following a surprise performance in late 2024. Alabama Shakes are currently touring across Europe and North America, celebrating one of Rock’s most anticipated comebacks.
