Rick Ross has explained why he was absent from JAŸ-Z’s landmark ‘Extra Innings’ concert at Yankee Stadium, despite fans hoping to see the longtime collaborators reunite on stage. Speaking to Joe Budden at The Joe Budden Podcast, the Maybach Music Group founder revealed that prior commitments prevented him from making the appearance, shutting down speculation that his absence was due to any personal issues.

JAŸ-Z’s three-night Yankee Stadium residency celebrated the anniversaries of ‘Reasonable Doubt’ and ‘The Blueprint’, drawing a star-studded lineup that included Beyoncé, Rihanna, Usher, Pharrell Williams and Nas. The final ‘Extra Innings’ show featured surprise performances and became one of the biggest Hip-Hop events of the year.
Although Ross was unable to attend, he praised JAŸ-Z’s achievement and made it clear that the missed appearance was purely a matter of timing, leaving fans hopeful the Rap heavyweights will share the stage again soon.
