Pop icon Rihanna faced a frightening security scare on Sunday afternoon. Authorities say a suspect fired multiple rounds at her Beverly Hills mansion while the singer was inside the property. Fortunately, no injuries occurred, but the incident quickly triggered a police response and a criminal investigation.
Los Angeles police received reports of gunfire around 1:20 PM local time. Officers responded immediately to the upscale Beverly Hills neighbourhood after several witnesses reported hearing shots near the property. Shortly afterward, investigators confirmed that Rihanna’s home had been targeted during the incident.
According to authorities, a woman in her thirties allegedly fired multiple rounds from a vehicle positioned outside the residence. Reports suggest the suspect discharged between five and ten shots toward the mansion’s gate and exterior walls. One bullet reportedly struck the structure, though it did not seriously damage the home.
Importantly, Rihanna was inside the mansion at the time of the shooting. However, police confirmed that she was unharmed and no other injuries occurred during the alarming incident. Officials quickly located the suspect and took her into custody without further confrontation.
Meanwhile, investigators continue to examine the motive behind the attack. Law enforcement has not yet revealed whether the suspect knew the singer personally or targeted the property randomly. Authorities also have not released the woman’s identity as the investigation moves forward.
The Beverly Hills mansion serves as Rihanna’s primary Los Angeles residence. She shares the home with partner A$AP Rocky and their young children. Because the property sits in a high-profile celebrity enclave, the shooting has raised new concerns about celebrity safety and neighbourhood security.
Additionally, this incident adds to a growing list of security breaches involving celebrity homes across Los Angeles. In recent years, several high-profile artists have experienced break-ins, stalking incidents, and attempted intrusions.
For now, Rihanna has not publicly commented on the shooting. Nevertheless, police continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses in hopes of clarifying exactly why the suspect opened fire on the singer’s home. Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
