Influencer brothers face dozens of new criminal charges, including rape, sex trafficking and assault, as British prosecutors pursue their return to the United Kingdom.
Andrew and Tristan Tate have been arrested in Miami after British authorities issued an extradition request linked to a series of new criminal charges. The influencer brothers, who hold dual United Kingdom and United States citizenship, are wanted by the United Kingdom’s Crown Prosecution Service over thirty-eight new allegations, including rape, sex trafficking, assault and offences involving indecent images of a child. Combined with previous charges, they now face a total of fifty-nine criminal counts in Britain.
The allegations relate to incidents said to have occurred between 2010 and 2017 involving multiple alleged victims. The brothers deny all wrongdoing and have consistently rejected accusations made against them in the United Kingdom and Romania, where separate legal proceedings have also taken place.
The United States authorities are expected to begin extradition proceedings, although the legal process could take months as the Tate brothers challenge the request through the American courts.
