Monster Jam Annual Next Month at BB&T Center

Monster Jam

MetroPCS presents Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam will roll into BB&T Center on Friday, Aug. 16, and Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013. This international racing series entertains more than four million fans annually, showing off its three main elements – the pit party, racing and freestyle!

Monster Jam will blow South Floridians away with its best Summer Heat show yet where they’ll get to experience:

  • The Party in the Pits for fans to get up-close shots of the Monster Trucks and meet the drivers! Free pit passes will be available at local participating Advance Auto Parts retail stores starting Monday, July 29 while supplies last.
  • An amazing truck line up – six of the best monster trucks in the world will be riding on the wide open track inside the BB&T Center! US Hot Rod Association Monster Trucks include World Champion Grave Digger®, Monster Mutt, MaxD and much more!

Approximately 12 feet tall and about 12 feet wide, monster trucks are custom-designed machines that sit atop 66-inch-tall tires and weigh a minimum of 10,000 pounds. Built for short, high-powered bursts of speed, monster trucks generate 1,500 to 2,000 horsepower and are capable of speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. Monster trucks can fly up to 125 to 130 feet (a distance greater than 14 cars side by side) and up to 35 feet in the air.

Monster Jam events are affordably priced for the whole family with adult tickets starting at $15 and $10 for kids (Ages 2-12). All seats are $2 more for adults and $1 more for kids on day of show. Additional fees may apply. The gates open at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 and 1p.m. and 6:30 p.m. respectively, on Saturday, Aug. 17. The pit party begins Saturday, Aug. 17 at 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
