henever there’s a man in the room, things change. When a woman enters that same space, something else happens. More than ten years ago, the photographer and I crossed paths through mutual friends on MySpace. At the time, he produced music for several recording artists with a friend. As you’ll learn in the interview, I lent him my camera. The following morning, he went to a cemetery with another friend to test it out. Next, his hobby took on another shape of its own. Thus, his fruitful career in photography began.

Most noteworthy, when GRUNGECAKE was a print magazine, he shot a lot of its content. As he explains in the interview, his experience wasn’t always peachy keen, but he is thankful for those moments. Additionally, there’s a new, thriving arts community in his hometown. One day he hopes to hang his work in a local museum called, the Wadsworth Antheneum Museum of Art. Stream the interview to hear Lee’s thoughts on love, Eminem, and his favourite song (‘Can I Live’ by JAY Z).

Lee’s favourite book is “The Old Woman and the Willy Nilly Man” by Jill Wright. He has nominated Trevin Smith for an UNCUT interview. The Rochesterian professional has designed several things for me in the past. (See the GRUNGECAKE skateboard in this promotional video.)
