Meta app ‘Threads’ logs over 10 million users since launch

Threads was launched 15 hours to 7 pm EDT in the US and midnight in the UK making it freely available in 100 countries on the Apple and Google app stores.

Social media giant Meta has launched its new app ‘Threads’ dubbed ‘Twitter killer’ and is stirring up the internet as we speak.

Threads was launched 15 hours to 7 pm EDT in the US and midnight in the UK making it freely available in 100 countries on the Apple and Google app stores.

Users claim this new app to be a ‘breath of fresh air’ as Elon Musk’s Twitter has been troublesome to its users, imposing restrictions and regulations frequently upon the active users of the app.

Reactions to the launch yesterday ranged from caution to enthusiasm, with many praising its ease of use and some saying that Elon Musk should be worried.

Launching the app reveals buttons to like, repost, reply to, or quote a “thread”, and counters showing the number of likes and replies that a post has received. Posts are limited to 500 characters, which is more than Twitter’s 280-character threshold, and can include links, photos, and videos up to five minutes long.

We are excited about the developments on this app in the coming weeks. In the meantime, follow GRUNGECAKE on Threads!
