Drake goes No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for the 13th time with ‘For All The Dogs’

Drake sold 402,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the first week of his release thus making the new album his 13th studio album to top the Billboard 200 Chart.

‘For All the Dogs’ was released at 6 a.m. ET on Friday, Oct. 6 — slightly off-cycle, as most new albums are released at 12 a.m. ET every Friday. The album was first teased in June, and then on Sept. 6, he announced that the album was due to be released on Sept. 22. By Sept. 15, he had pushed that release date back to Oct. 6.

With a 13th No.1 album on the Billboard 200, Drake breaks out of a tie with Taylor Swift to have the third-most No.1s on the chart. The Beatles continue to hold the record with 19 No.1 albums, followed by Jay-Z (14), Drake (13), and Swift (12).
