‘ZHYVY’, a short film? No, perhaps, it is a homage to the new world order of underground techno sound. Possibly. Nonetheless, Histibe brings his idea of cinematography, poetry, music, and modern digital art to life with this short audiovisual film titled, ‘ZHYVY’.

“Life is the most priceless thing. Don’t be afraid to live in your own unusual way”

is quoted in the film, which leads the viewer to believe that you should live, but on the contrary, once you start to watch ‘ZHYVY’, there is a heavy presence of dark undertones like death was in the air.

Histibe poses the question. Is this a battle between good and evil? Histibe used subtitles in the film. Subtitles are supposed to be an aid, but it takes away from the visual concept. The caption size was so tiny it was as if you were taking a visual field test for glasses. After watching it for the 7th time, I began to like ‘ZHYVY’. The vibe of this audiovisual film accelerated towards the end with its cast of unnamed actors bobbing their heads to the beat of the music. You wouldn’t consider “ZHYVY” a short film, but a prelude to a major motion picture. It could have been a scene from any box office hit movie such as ‘Resident Evil’ or ‘Ultra Violet’.

However, it still lacks something. There is no focal point that makes you want to tell or even share the link to ‘ZHYVY’. It could pass as a promotional tool for an aspiring Techno DJ or a club promoter. Specifically, one who seeks to give those that love the unfiltered Techno/Rave club scene an unadulterated night out on the town.

The highlight of this very short one-minute and thirty-seven-second film was a cool hair flip by the guy in the blue jacket.
