I’m Waiting For Lion In The Mane To Serenade Me

Hang me out to dry.

If you can’t hear this song playing on a Pop / Rock radio station during your immaculate shopping experiences at your local mall, your imagination is weak. Lion In The Mane is a beautiful set of talented Brooklyn-based men whose songs are led by Jon Masters, their amazing lead vocalist who just happens to melt my heart every time I hear him sing. About 5 or 6 years ago, the band came together and soon after, they played The Music Hall of Williamsburg — and that’s a big deal. To date, the band has released a lyric video for their previously released track “Bright Sunny Beautiful”, which you can watch below — Right after you read this delicious quote by Masters about “Waiting”.

“Waiting” is a really cool song to me because we started trying some synths and pads. We did some of that in the noise war as well. It had this feel of our normal melodic bits mixed with kind of what’s “in” electronic wise now and just ran with it. The song is about an old friend of mine who had a hard time being honest with me about some things going on in his life. Those things were upsetting me a good bit at the time and I was just kind of waiting around for an apology, but it never came.”

Stream the track now on the premiere site via this link. Lion In The Mane’s new album The Noise War will be available to purchase on February 24.
