After a long break from music, Diggy Simmons has reemerged with his new track, ‘It Is What It Is’. This song gives us a look into the world of Diggy Simmons, highlighting the frustrations he faces with trying to please everyone, his personal battles with pleasing himself, and his acceptance that he can only be the best he can be. The visual for this song is set in a church, which is consistent with the gospel vocals and violin sounds, that Diggy passionately and cleverly tells his story over. The setting also hints at Diggy finally accepting what could be God’s plan for his life, and realizing things will work out the way it needs to. This is definitely a great song with a powerful message, especially in a world where people are overly obsessed with satisfying others. You can only control what you can control, and when things out of your control aren’t going your way, you just have to accept that “it is what it is.”
