Less than 24 hours ago, R&B-leaning artist Trevor Jackson freed the official music video for his new single ‘Friend of a Friend’. As the Indianapolis-born multi-hyphenate stands in a room with salmon-pink-coloured walls, a seemingly patient and quiet horse is beside him. The unusual pairing immediately captures attention and sparks curiosity. Dressed to the nines in dark attire paired with an exquisite white blouse, he croons about someone close with whom he seems to continuously quarrel. If it’s anything like I’ve experienced or witnessed, it is mentally and emotionally exhausting. Although he seems to be the one who has done wrong, he doubles down and vows to prove the person wrong. We don’t know how or if he plans to do it at all, but we’re wishing him well. The person sounds like they’re hard to convince. I mean, after all, he did share a dance with another person at the club.
