‘The Rolling Loud Movie’ sets nationwide theatrical release for this Fall

The energy of the world’s largest Hip-Hop festival is officially hitting the big screen. The Rolling Loud Movie has announced its theatrical release date, opening nationwide on September 18 in over 2,000 theatres, according to Deadline. Produced by Live Nation Studios and American High in collaboration with the Rolling Loud brand, the film promises an audacious, culture-forward comedy rooted in the chaos, creativity and controlled madness of festival life.

Set against the high-octane backdrop of Rolling Loud, the film taps directly into the pulse of modern Hip-Hop culture, blending laugh-out-loud moments with the unmistakable atmosphere of one of music’s most influential global events. For fans who have experienced the sweat, sound and spectacle of Rolling Loud in real life, the movie aims to recreate that feeling—minus the sunburn and sore feet.

Directed by Jeremy Garelick, whose résumé includes ‘The Hangover’ and ‘Murder Mystery 2’, the film leans into his signature comedic timing whilst embracing the unique energy of festival culture. Leading the cast are Owen Wilson and comedian Matt Rife, an unexpected but intriguing pairing that signals a blend of mainstream comedy and internet-era humour.

Adding to the authenticity are appearances from major Hip-Hop artists, including Ty Dolla $ign, Sexyy Red and Ski Mask the Slump God, grounding the film firmly in today’s music landscape. The supporting cast also features Christine Ko, Christian Convery, Jolene, and the ever-iconic Henry Winkler, bringing generational range and star power to the project.

With Rolling Loud having grown from a grassroots Miami festival into a global cultural juggernaut, the film feels like a natural next step. The Rolling Loud Movie isn’t just a comedy—it’s a celebration of Hip-Hop’s current moment, ready to turn cinemas into front-row festival crowds this September.
