Gianfranco Pescetti’s ‘Daystar Nocturnal’: A Decade in the Making
After nearly ten years, independent electronic and dance artist Gianfranco Pescetti has released his latest album, “Daystar Nocturnal.” Following the success of his 2023 singles, this album takes listeners on a captivating journey through ambient and dance music.

With “Daystar Nocturnal,” Pescetti infuses classic EDM flavors with an intricate exploration of light and darkness. This duality is evident in the teaser tracks released over the past year: “Be My Ghost,” “Stopless,” and “The Wake.” Each track, impeccably produced, toggles between light, melodic, playful elements and serious, ambient soundscapes. For Pescetti, this album represents a sonic exploration that transcends traditional genre boundaries, challenging the norm by embracing the fluidity inherent in music.
“Music, for me, is something fluid. There has always been an ambivalence that I can’t get away from,” Pescetti explains. “‘Daystar Nocturnal’ is my attempt to explore the depth of emotions and create a profoundly personal and evocative sound without conforming to the rigid specifications of a particular genre, all while keeping an eye on the dance floor.”
Showcasing his talent on bass as well as in production, “Daystar Nocturnal” is designed to be a personal experience for both Pescetti and his listeners. The album features emotive and meditative tones that intertwine, highlighting Pescetti’s technical prowess. He hopes that fans will feel the existential themes throughout the album.
