Listen to New York rapper Esparo’s latest record ‘Onika’ featuring Rob49
“Her ass on Minaj/I got her locked in as Onika”
On August 30, Esparo — one of Giant Music’s newest signees — released a new single titled ‘Onika’ from his forthcoming album (no confirmed release date shared yet). On the Mike Mvjor, Meech, and AUSGOD production, the hazel-eyed artist raps about dealing with women who look like vixens, his deceased friends, and a pink Lamborghini. Joining, New Orleans rapper Rob49 rhymes about being in the trenches with big ass guns and getting paid for features. The arrival of this record couldn’t be more coincidental.
At least a week or so later, Nicki Minaj — real name Onika Tanya Maraj — publicly criticised JAY Z’s choice to book Kendrick Lamar instead of Lil Wayne, one the world’s most influential artists ever to headline the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. As we could imagine, everyone from Stephen A Smith to Memphis Bleek added their thoughts and hot-takes to the bag. Hopefully, and eventually, the “Queen of Rap” receives another bouquet for her hard work that doesn’t go unnoticed.
Stream the single below, and stay tuned for the official music video. Recently, the artists met up in New York City to film the song named after the chart-topping legendary superstar, Nicki Minaj.
The official cover art features her iconic pink wig, a way for Esparo, her fellow Queensite, to pay homage to what she has done to change the landscape of modern Hip-Hop music — especially for women who are rapping.

Esparo releases first quarantine visual ‘In the Attic’ from brand new project ‘Free Jagg’: Watch
Inspired by a childhood friend who has been imprisoned in connection to a “friendly fire”, which has changed our lives forever, Esparo released the first visual from his new ten-track project aptly titled ‘Free Jagg’. Sticking to his original plan to remain active during times of uncertainty, the artist made the best of his current situation in quarantine. Using his home as a video location, the New York-native rapper makes sure his message isn’t hindered or restrained by anything or anyone. In the clean visual, he has video call cameos from friends like Lil Durk and it opens with a phone call from Jagger Freeman himself. Sadly, Freeman has tested positive for the COVID-19, but he has not been given the option to come home. We’ll keep him in our prayers.

Quarantine and Chill with Esparo’s ‘Strange Things’
For those of us locked inside who are lucky enough to be with their Quarantine Bae, Esparo has a treat for you! His single ‘Strange Things’ is a slow-tempo Hip-Hop track that will have you wanting to do ‘strange things’ to the one you’re with. This sexy track is intense, starting off with smooth vocals and transitioning into bars about what he wants to do to his love interest. Esparo brings us good vibes for these times, reminding us not to neglect the love making process.
