South Korea’s Stray Kids celebrate 8 years with heartfelt fan tribute ‘별, 빛 (Stay)’: Listen

Eight years in, Stray Kids are still moving with intention—and heart. To mark the anniversary of their debut, the global K-Pop force surprised fans with a new digital single, ‘별, 빛 (Stay)’, released as a heartfelt tribute to their fandom, known as ‘Stay’. The drop arrives not as a spectacle, but as something more intimate: A thank-you letter set to music.
Built on gentle guitar and piano melodies, ‘별, 빛 (Stay)’ leans into warmth and reflection. The track captures the emotional thread that has long connected the group to their audience. Through soft, resonant production, the song tells a story of companionship—of walking forward together under the same sky. Lyrics referencing stars and the universe reinforce a message of hope, grounding the group’s philosophy in something both personal and expansive.

Members Han Jisung and Kim Seungmin played a key role in shaping the record. Both contributed to its composition and lyricism, channelling the collective emotions of all eight members into a sincere offering. Visually, the release is just as thoughtful. Inspired by the group’s official lightstick, the artwork symbolises the moment “when light becomes direction”, reflecting the mutual guidance shared between Stray Kids and ‘Stay’. Each member’s custom-designed stars add a personal imprint.
