Australian artist Gabe Ruth shares infectious new Aretha Franklin-inspired track ‘Asking’: Listen

Who doesn’t like a good remake of a classic tune? When there are millions of people who won’t be able to party the way they’re used to, we think it’s smart to release these sorts of songs. The heaps of people who want to find new songs to add to their “movement” playlists won’t be able to resist Gabe Ruth’s attractive song ‘Asking’.

It’s been 2 years since I last released under my Indian Summer alias, working on that music was a really lovely time in my life but I wanted to do something different in 2020.

I recently relocated to Brisbane and after writing feverishly for a couple of months, I sent some stuff to the guys at Medium Rare Recordings who liked it enough to sign me to their label. I couldn’t be more excited about joining the family because I’ve known the crew for years, we’ve toured together heaps and they’re really passionate about what they do.
