Watch burgeoning French-Canadian singer Chikoruss’ new basketball-themed video ‘USC’
It sounds like a blast from the past masterfully produced by Darkchild.

Today, when making my usual rounds on YouTube, I came across the thumbnail to a music video called ‘USC’ by an artist named Chikoruss. At a glance, it piqued my interest. I hadn’t seen his name, but I assumed he was an African artist based on uniqueness. For the Blu direction, the scene opens with the long-haired crooner on the basketball court, singing about meeting the leading lady at South Carolina University. As the 2000s R&B-inspired jam progresses, he sings about partying until the sun rises and doing wild things whilst her man isn’t around. In the second verse, Chikoruss makes it clear he isn’t her boyfriend:
“Don’t treat me like your boyfriend ’cause I ain’t him… With no attachments needed”
About a month ago, Chikoruss released a catchy tune and music video for ‘In 2 Deep’ about a lady making more time for him.
In any event, the young R&B/Soul French-Canadian singer-songwriter is a new addition signed to 300 Entertainment. According to a report on Billboard, the Montreal native is the “only Canadian, and the only French Canadian, on the 300 roster.” Check out the music video and see if refraining from busting a move is a thing. Malik Ninety Five & Smokey produced the track.
