Reggae icon Buju Banton enlists John Legend for forthcoming album’s lead single ‘Memories’: Listen
‘Memories’ isn’t like the Buju Banton’s past releases, which often featured him as the hook-master or fellow Jamaican artists, it is a “special” love song that looks to bring Buju’s classic sound back into the American market. Readying for his first full-length release in ten years, the John Legend-assisted single follows the GRAMMY-Award winning pair’s first time working together in 2009 for ‘Can’t Be My Lover’. If you didn’t know, the two artists talked about the backstory of the collaboration on a live Instagram video chat.
