Describe as the “toxic song of the summer” by ShaqIsDope himself on Twitter, ‘Baddie’ is another showing of his versatile style and why his trajectory seems to go up with every release. With ‘Baddie’ starting to make waves and go viral on TikTok, and the quality of his previous project ‘Dark Days Ahead’, it’s clear he has positioned himself to make a splash on the mainstream level.
In a very A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie like way, ShaqIsDope floats over the chorus with smooth vocals and lays some nice bars with different flow patterns on the verse. Being from St Jamestown Downtown Toronto, you can imagine that’s where he gets a lot of his musical inspiration from, but you can certainly hear the American influence, which makes for a well-developed sound.
