Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Wizkid is set to release the remix of his hit single ‘Essence’ which features fellow Nigerian music act Tems and Justin Bieber.
Earlier today, Wiz shared a photo on his Instagram story with the caption: “Dat @justinbieber vocals ❤️🖤🦅.”
Wizkid has confirmed that the remix for ‘Essence’, which features Tems and Justin Bieber, will be released on Friday, August 13, 2021. The singer made the announcement on his social media accounts.

On July 24, 2021, Essence peaked at number one on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart and was named one of Billboard’s ‘The 50 Best Songs of 2021 So Far’. The song was also the first Nigerian-owned song to appear on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as it debuted at number eighty-two.
‘Essence’ is one of fourteen songs on Wizkid’s fourth studio album, ‘Made In Lagos’, which dropped in October 2020. Other artists on the project besides Tems include Damian Jr Gong Marley, Ella Mai, HER, Burna Boy, Skepta, Terri, Tay Iwar, and Projexx.
