Amapiano star DJ-producer Uncle Waffles announces new EP, following ‘Taste’

Uncle Waffles is ready to open a new chapter.

The Eswatini-born DJ and producer will release her new extended play on May 8. The project follows her latest single, ‘Taste’, and arrives after a major touring run across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe.

For Waffles, the EP marks more than another release. It signals a sharper, more global era for one of Amapiano’s most recognisable exports. Over the last few years, she has helped push the South African-born genre onto bigger stages, translating its log drum pulse, club-rooted energy, and dance culture for audiences far beyond the continent.

Her momentum is also extending into the live space. This June, Uncle Waffles will join Kaytranada as a special guest on his Europe ‘26 tour, further placing her sound in front of global dance music audiences.

With ‘Taste’ already setting the tone, the forthcoming project is positioned as a statement of growth. It finds Uncle Waffles expanding her reach whilst helping move Amapiano deeper into the mainstream conversation.
