Haitian-American artist Aklesso and Ty Brasel choose gratitude on new single ‘He Did It’: Watch
After landing on XXL’s ‘The Break’, the Haitian-American artist returns with a spirited new release produced by Enzo Gram.

Haitian-American Hip-Hop artist Aklesso is moving with renewed clarity on his new single ‘He Did It’, featuring Ty Brasel. Produced by in-house instrumentalist Enzo Gram, the track follows Aklesso’s recent release ‘Outta Time’ with Aha Gazelle and Kaden Jordan, as well as his feature on XXL’s ‘The Break’.
On ‘He Did It’, Aklesso and Brasel trade charged verses over a bright, urgent production that refuses to sit in defeat. Instead, the record leans into gratitude as a survival tactic. It is not polished optimism for the sake of it. Rather, it sounds like two artists choosing faith whilst life keeps applying pressure.
In a press statement, the Miami native explained that the song came from a difficult personal season. Around November, Aklesso said he was dealing with a cancelled programme that affected his family financially, whilst also learning that he and his family were expecting their second child. Then, a random text from Heather B of ‘Sway In The Morning’ shifted his perspective.
“I was so worried about what was wrong that I didn’t take time to realise all the great things happening simultaneously”, he shared.
That tension has long shaped Aklesso’s work. Across projects like ‘My Life is a Beautiful Mess’, ‘Sonus, Vol 1’, and ‘Loner’, he has built a catalogue rooted in faith, identity, mental health and cultural truth. With ‘He Did It’, he turns that honesty into momentum.
