Premiere: Billy Porter’s ‘For What It’s Worth’ cover remixed by GRAMMY-nominated duo King Garbage

Back in April, singer, television star, activist and fashion extraordinaire Billy Porter released the timely cover of singer-songwriter Stephen Stills’ ‘For What It’s Worth’, performed by Buffalo Springfield. That version had a “soulful spin” and kept the relevance, and today’s version produced by GRAMMY-nominated producer duo King Garbage has a Hip-Hop vibe to it, which may appeal to younger audiences.

Urging for change in the hook of the record, Billy Porter encourages you to vote, whether you believe it matters or not. Our ancestors fought, bled, and sacrificed their lives for us to be able to. If it didn’t mean anything, the American voting structure wouldn’t be as it is. The tragedy of what happened in Atlanta this week during primary voting wouldn’t have come to pass. As New York City sees its third day since Phase One reopening, I hope we do not share Atlanta’s experience.
If you are terrified of voting for fear of getting COVID-19, fill out the absentee ballot. It takes two minutes. If you are not registered to vote, click here to register today.

Beyoncé is now on Megan thee Stallion’s ‘Savage’: Listen to the remix exclusively on TIDAL
Houston Hotties all over the world are going to lose it when they hear this. It’s official. Megan thee Stallion has the Beyoncé feature.

Photo: Parkwood Entertainment Taken on her rap persona that I’ve said Beyoncé had for a very long time, the Houston legendary singer has blessed the younger generation Houstonian with an official remix to her currently bubbling record. Aside from Beyoncé’s timely references of being on “demon time” and mentioning scammers on the song, it is a great way to show that she supports Megan. It’s a big deal for the independent artist. As stated on her Instagram caption below, the proceeds from the record will benefit the Bread of Life COVID-19 relief efforts in Houston.

London star Angel teams up with Davido and French Montana for ‘Blessings (Remix)’: Watch
British singer-songwriter Angel has followed up his already successful single ‘Blessings’ with the remix, this time looping in artists Davido and French Montana for a multi-cultural guaranteed hit. This song is warm weather and party-ready, for sure. Davido kicks it off with his usual swag, giving the song the Naija swag that he adds so effortlessly. Angel follows, reminding us why we loved the original. French Montana finishes us off with his Bronx swag that always seems to flow effortlessly with Afrobeats/Reggae-style tracks.
The women in the video are Black and beautiful, something that I’m sure was intentional, and greatly appreciated. We’re ready for the summer with this one!
