Nicki Minaj faces loss of $20M Hidden Hills home over assault judgment

[/media-credit]Nicki Minaj may be in danger of losing her Los Angeles mansion—valued at about $20 million—to satisfy a court judgment stemming from a 2019 assault claim. The plaintiff, Thomas Weidenmüller (who had worked in security at one of Minaj’s concerts in Germany), alleges that Kenneth Petty—Minaj’s husband—struck him unexpectedly, breaking his jaw and requiring eight surgeries. A default judgment awarded Weidenmüller $503,318 in damages.
Weidenmüller’s legal team says repeated demands for payment were ignored, prompting them to petition the court to put Minaj’s Hidden Hills estate up for sale. The property reportedly carries a $13,258,000 mortgage lien and a homestead exemption of approximately $722,151, leaving an estimated $6 million of equity–more than enough, according to the papers, to satisfy the judgment and accrued costs.
Attorneys for the plaintiff argue that Minaj’s considerable net worth (estimated between $150 million and $190 million) underscores her ability—and obligation—to settle. Minaj and Petty, as of the latest report, have not publicly responded. This development adds a legal dimension to Minaj’s public narrative. Whether the court approves a forced sale, or Minaj arranges payment another way, remains to be seen.

[/media-credit] Nicki Minaj Nicki Minaj has officially announced a release date for her sixth studio album: It’s slated to drop in March 2026. This new album represents a different direction than what she did with ‘Pink Friday 2’. Rather than putting out a deluxe version of that project, she confirmed that she wanted a completely fresh album.
She’s promised “new songs”—including previously teased tracks like ‘Mamita’ and a song she refers to as the “anxiety” song—will still factor into whatever comes next.
Her last full album, ‘Pink Friday 2’, was loaded with twenty-two tracks and big collaborations (Drake, Lil Wayne, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Skillibeng, etc), plus deluxe edition songs like ‘Beep Beep’ (featuring 50 Cent) and ‘Love Me Enough’ (with Monica and Keyshia Cole). The project also came with a massive world tour—79 shows, which grossed over $108.8 million.
Well let me clarify…you’ll be notified of a tour in 2025. With the album.
Not that the tour will start in 2025. https://t.co/4lEFjuvIMQ— Nicki Minaj (@NICKIMINAJ) November 22, 2024

Nicki ended her most recent tour with a major show in Elmont, New York, featuring guests such as Sexyy Red and 50 Cent. Around that time, she also dismissed rumours of taking a long break, telling fans she “ain’t going no mthfkn where.”
Overall, this announcement marks the start of what looks to be an exciting, new era for Nicki Minaj—fans will be watching very closely for pre‑release singles, collaborations, and whether this truly is ‘PF3’.

Nicki Minaj targeted in malicious “swatting” incident, authorities respond to empty Calabasas residence
In yet another unsettling example of how internet pranks have real-world consequences, music and fashion icon Nicki Minaj was the target of a reported “swatting” call this week. According to law enforcement sources, authorities were dispatched to the superstar’s Calabasas home following a false emergency report, only to find no crime in progress and no one in immediate danger. The term “swatting”—a dangerous hoax that involves falsely reporting a serious crime to prompt a heavily armed police response—has increasingly targeted celebrities and content creators. But when you’re someone of Nicki Minaj’s global status, with over a decade of setting trends and rewriting rap history, these attempts feel less like pranks and more like targeted harassment.

Whilst Nicki wasn’t home during the response, the presence of law enforcement at her private residence stirred concern from neighbors and fans alike, especially given the growing list of high-profile figures who’ve been affected by similar incidents in recent months. This isn’t the first time the “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” rapper’s safety has been compromised due to unwanted public attention. From publicised court cases to online trolling, Nicki remains one of the most polarising and surveilled women in music—and the constant targeting underscores the dark side of celebrity in the digital age.
Sources close to the GRAMMY-nominated artist say she and her family are safe, and that her team is working closely with authorities to trace the origin of the call. As law enforcement continues its investigation, questions around online accountability and swatting-related penalties have resurfaced. In California, filing a false police report is a misdemeanor, but if swatting leads to injury or death, charges can escalate quickly to felonies. For Nicki Minaj, a mother, mogul, and artist whose every move gets magnified, these invasive acts serve as a grim reminder of how the industry and its fans must better protect those they claim to love.

Wendy Williams goes off on Nicki Minaj about husband Kenneth Petty: ‘You should have never married him’
On a Tuesday episode of The Wendy Show, host Wendy Williams ended the show with some hot takes on rapper Nicki Minaj and her embattled husband Kenneth Petty, the latter being fresh off an arrest for failing to register as a sex offender in California. Willams took some time to speak directly to Minaj, stating ‘You should’ve never married him, because now you’ve ruined everything about what your brand could be, again. You’re never gonna stand a chance when you’re with a man who pulls a knife at rape point… a molester… a registered sex offender.’

It isn’t the first time Wendy Williams commented on Nicki Minaj’s marriage. Last November, the two had a war of words over Wendy Williams’ maligning of Petty.
*Minaj has yet to respond to Williams’ latest comments.
*The Wendy Williams Show will not have a live-studio audience until further notice.

Kenneth Petty, husband of rapper Nicki Minaj, arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in California

Photo: Instagram Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, has been arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in California. Petty is registered in New York, but as a new resident of California, he hasn’t checked in and as a result, is facing up to ten years (if convicted). Petty’s status comes from a 1995 conviction of first degree attempted rape, for which he served 4 years and is now required to register as a sex offender. Petty has appeared in court and has pleaded ‘not guilty’. He is currently wearing an ankle monitor, with travel restricted to Southern California.
