After nearly three years since their last full release, Houston-based duo Mother Ghost is back with their new full-length album, ‘Radio Fantasma’. Comprising brothers Oscar and Thomas Flores, Mother Ghost has continued to push the boundaries of genre, blending post-punk, new-wave, and industrial influences into a unique sound. Their latest offering is set to release on July 19, 2024, following a teaser single ‘Negative Affirmations,’ an aggressive, industrial-tinged track that offers a glimpse into the album’s intensity.
The new album promises a rich variety of sounds, reflecting the band’s evolution during the early pandemic. With tracks like ‘Sunshine’ and ‘Triton’ showcasing Oscar’s dynamic guitar work and Thomas’s menacing bass lines, the album captures raw emotions and personal grievances. Despite the heavy themes, ‘Radio Fantasma’ also features smoother, more melodic tracks like ‘Talk Slow’ and ‘Every Day,’ ensuring a balanced listening experience.
