Listen to Yeat’s new EP ‘Dangerous Summer’
[media-credit name=”Courtesy” width=1200 align=”center”]
[/media-credit]After a whirlwind July that saw surprise festival cameos, a viral Drake co-sign, and a Lyrical Lemonade stage takeover, Yeat is keeping the momentum blazing with his new EP ‘DANGEROUS SUMMER’. Featuring collaborators like FKA twigs, Don Toliver, and SahBabii, the project is a cinematic, genre-bending evolution of his sound—teasing the sonic direction of his highly-anticipated LP ‘ADL (A Dangerous Lyfe)’.
The Cole Bennett-directed video for lead single ‘Put It Ong’ plays like a twisted fever dream. In it, Yeat moves through a chaotic carnival flanked by ballerinas in clown makeup—visual metaphor meets avant-garde horror. Shot with real alligators by Harmony Korine in Florida and designed by the experimental collective EDGLRD, the project’s cover art pushes creative boundaries, matching the intensity of the music.

Yeat’s rollout included cryptic nuclear-fallout-style signage across cities, foreshadowing a new chapter in the twenty-five-year-old’s career. Coming off a string of global performances—including a 120,000 plus crowd in Romania and a Clout Festival finale in Poland—Yeat continues to solidify himself as a genre-defiant visionary.
This drop follows the chart-smashing success of ‘Lyfestyle’, his first #1 on the Billboard 200, which sold over 89,000 units its first week. Since then, Yeat’s been unstoppable—remixing Drake’s ‘Feel No Ways’ at Coachella, releasing ‘The Bell’, and collaborating with Anyma on ‘Work’. His recent European tour, including his first headlining London show, earned high praise from The Guardian for its visceral energy.
If ‘Dangerous Summer’ is any indication, Yeat isn’t just riding the wave—he’s designing the current.

Hear South African duo Major League DJz’s remix to Blaze’s classic House anthem ‘Most Precious Love’
[media-credit name=”Courtesy” width=900 align=”center”]
[/media-credit]In a thrilling fusion of classic and contemporary, Major League DJz breathe new life into the iconic house anthem ‘Most Precious Love’. Originally produced, written, and recorded by the legendary American duo Blaze, and featuring the powerful vocals of Barbara Tucker alongside the musical collective UDAUFL (Underground Dance Artists United For Life), this track has been a dancefloor staple since its release in 2004.
First released by the iconic New York City house label King Street Sounds, ‘Most Precious Love’ quickly soared to the top of the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart in June 2005, becoming Tucker’s sixth number-one hit. The track also made waves in the United Kingdom, where it initially peaked at #44 on the Official Charts in 2005, before a 2006 remix by the Freemasons catapulted it to the top spot. Now, as the track reaches its twentieth anniversary, it stands as a testament to the enduring power of house music and its ability to evolve across generations.
Now, Major League DJz have taken on the challenge of reinterpreting this beloved classic, infusing it with their signature Amapiano sound. The South African DJ duo has skillfully woven deep basslines, rhythmic percussions, and subtle piano melodies into the original, creating a remix that’s both infectious and deeply emotive. Their fresh take on ‘Most Precious Love’ not only pays homage to the timeless essence of Blaze’s original but also bridges the gap between house music and the vibrant Amapiano scene, introducing the track to a new generation of listeners.
This remix arrives at a pivotal moment for the Amapiano genre, which is itself celebrating a decade of revolutionising the global music scene. As one of South Africa’s most influential and rapidly growing musical movements, Amapiano has become synonymous with innovation, cultural expression, and a unifying sound that resonates worldwide. Major League DJz, at the forefront of this movement, continue to push boundaries with their reinterpretations, blending the soulful roots of House music with the distinctive energy of Amapiano.
This release marks the third single from the ‘Amapiano to Ibiza’ EP, following the successful drops of Rosey Gold’s rendition of ‘The Dominator’ and DBN Gogo’s ‘Touched the Sky’. The EP continues to showcase the duo’s unique ability to blend Amapiano with global Dance music, creating a sound that resonates on dancefloors from Johannesburg to Ibiza.
Major League DJz shared their excitement about the project: “We’ve always admired the soulful energy of ‘Most Precious Love’. It’s a track that resonates with so many people across the world. Bringing our Amapiano flavour to this classic was a dream come true for us, and we hope it connects with fans old and new.”
With this remix, Major League DJz continue to push the boundaries of their sound, blending genres and cultures to create music that’s both innovative and deeply-rooted in tradition. ‘Most Precious Love’ is set to become a staple on dancefloors once again, this time with an Amapiano twist that’s sure to captivate audiences worldwide.

Tinashe talks to Apple Music about embracing the match my freak trend for hit song ‘Nasty’ with new EP
Tinashe chats with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 ahead of the release of her ‘Match My Freak’ remix EP. She talks about why she thinks her hit song ‘Nasty’ lends itself to remixes and mashups, and embracing the viral “match my freak” trend with the release of the new EP.

Tinashe talks to Apple Music about all the remixes and mashups of her song ‘Nasty’
I think that’s part of the reason why I’ve been hearing so many amazing mashups and remixes the song has. That line, it pops out so much and it’s so hooky and so easily put into any beat or any people can interpret it in so many different ways, and I think that that’s been really impactful for the song. But I also feel like when I wrote that particular line, the way I usually write music is I just record myself freestyling, so I was driving in my car and I had a version, a very rough draught version of the beat playing, and I was recording myself on photo bucket or something in my car just vibing to the song and that initial line, I said it so chilly and matter-of-factly and in your face, and it felt so simple, yet so impactful that even just mimicking that performance on the actual record was something that I very particularly crafted to try to get that exact same energy when I was just driving in my car, because I think you’re right. The performance of it really affects just how people are interpreting the song and how people are receiving it.
Tinashe talks to Apple Music about embracing the ‘Match My Freak’ trend
For me, I’m riding it until the wheels fall off. This is what you do all of this for, you hope for these types of moments. It’s beyond being precious about it and being overly cautious or overthinking, “Oh my God, I don’t want to be too overexposed. I don’t want to celebrate the wins, I got to stay focused on…” I mean, the artistry is there and that’s happening regardless. Like I said, this full album’s coming out and people are going to see that this isn’t just a one-off thing. This isn’t a fluke. There’s continued music. There’s music videos coming out. There’s performances. We’re just going to keep going, but at the same time, this moment is also so impactful. Why not just have fun and go hard?

Boston’s Indie Pop princess Amber Ais blesses us with her new EP ‘Blush’: Stream
Indie Pop singer and songwriter Amber Ais, officially began her musical journey at fifteen, which eventually lead her to attend Berklee College of Music in 2014. In 2017, Ais released her debut EP, ‘Seattle’, a collection of three original songs which earned praise for its blend of Contemporary R&B and Pop production. In 2018, she gained the attention of GRUNGECAKE with her cover of ‘Finesse’ by Drake, and released her second EP ‘Yearbook’ that same year. The young Bostonian artist is back with more wholesome sad girl bops with her latest four-track EP, ‘Blush’.
Amber Ais describes the four-track collection as songs that “sound pink”, which accurately describes the range of vibrant instrumentals produced by Daniel Dalexis and Ghreg Louis coupled with Amber’s buttery vocals. The EP kicks off with the light-hearted Pop reminiscent track ‘Shy’, which is then followed by the smoother head-bopping second track ‘Miles Away’. The third track, ‘Fences’ displays Amber’s R&B chops, as it emits cool and relaxed tones. The closing track ‘Ready for U’, is an Alternative Pop bop filled with her pillow-soft vocals. Much like her last project ‘Blush’ perfectly displays Amber Ais’ musical range and undeniable talents.

Named after an obsession with miniature things, Mini Trees is the brainchild and moniker of Los Angeles-based drummer and indie artist, Lexi Vega. Brooklyn singer-songwriter A$H shares new Gospel EP ‘Soul Songs’: Listen to ‘Special’
Gospel music, to me, has always felt like worship that can be joyful, triumphant, even loud, or it can be repentance, humble, and emotional. Gospel music not only delivers the message, but it can also feel like a testimony, a moment to cry out, and relief all in one. Gospel music can be your epiphany and revelation, your prayer and covenant, your lessons and stories, and your beliefs and feelings.
A forever trending topic is a vague change and the future. Gospel music has stayed relevant and chart-topping, but why is that? Sike! That is a discussion for another time. Back to A$H and ‘Special’, this song has a different style for Gospel. Gospel is where rhythm and blues come from. This beat is jazzier than your typical piano, horns, and drums praise jam. It makes you feel comfortable and simultaneously vulnerable. You feel like reflecting and realizing. The moment when you come to and know you are blessed and wrapped in the Light is an energy you can feel in this song.
This R&B sounding Gospel song can blend well in between Top 40, Urban, and Gospel. That appeal can reach many types of souls. During this time of being home and not able to convene, take some time, and add ‘Special’ to your “Worship and Focus Playlist.”
If you are ever in need of an uplift, ‘Special’ is a full song that is four minutes long. While you might feel down and out, and low, A$H sings your spirit to comfort that you matter because you matter to Him. The repetition of the word title of the song provides a soothing feeling that you will always be illuminated to Him no matter what you do or go through.
The beauty of Gospel music is that it doesn’t discriminate. You don’t have to be the most righteous and pious to enjoy a vibe such as this. This song can touch anyone, just go ahead and check it out on SoundCloud.
