Super typhoon Saola approaches Hong Kong

Locals in Hong Kong, China, have braced themselves for the arrival of a typhoon called Saola this Friday. According to Reuters, local authorities have raised the strong wind signal to eight, forcing most businessses, schools and the stock exchange to shut down.
