Today, one of Compton, California’s most successful artists to live, Roddy Ricch, returned with a song with a boisterous message detailing his ‘Survivor’s Remorse’. Therefore, the perplexed artist parked us, and like a stadium filled with psychotherapists, the ‘The Box’ artist (nearly two billion streams on Spotify) pulled up a chair and talked to us about it all for closure. From his long list, the young father sheds light on his child support duties, falling out with some of his friends due to an overdose of pride and growing apart, and his thoughts on people who say he fell off. Utilising the golden flow and cadence famously used by Lil Durk, Roddy Ricch talks about being blinded by survivor’s remorse, codeine use, tired of everyone’s opinions, and putting up the numbers he earned at the label. Stream the choir-sung chorus for the two-minute thirty-six-second record below to hear what’s been happening in his life from his mouth.
