Watch Reuben Vincent’s self-directed visual for ‘FUFU’
The flow king addresses his citizens.
Two weeks ago, Reuben Vincent, one of the best new rappers of Liberian descent, released the cheeky official music video for his upbeat track named ‘FUFU’. Opening the record, the North Carolina-bred rapper shared a conversation with his mother, spotlighting the naysakers who thought he wouldn’t make it, which may have been a selfish projection. Reeling us back into his success, Vincent tells his father (“baba”) that they (another same set of people) believe in him. Seemingly comparing his hustle/work to making fufu (or “whipping that work”), Vincent assures his loved ones of his plans to increase his value. Watch the self-direction—in collaboration—with Timmy Shawley below to see the Liberian flag soar high.
