Ovrkast and CardoGotWings share minimalist, jazzy EP ‘KASTGOTWINGS’: Listen

Today, Oakland rapper-producer Ovrkast has released a fourteen-minute extended play — ‘KASTGOTWINGS’ — in collaboration with fellow producer CardoGotWings. On the catchy project, the artist shows us that he is against the war in Palestine on ‘PAYMEAGRIP’, suggesting that someone should take one for the team on ‘FREE SUMN’ (where we can hear where the Kanye West comparisons are brewing towards the end of the record), and having his mother’s unconditional love on ‘Bippers Joint’. His mother prays for him with a candle! On records like ‘Cut Up’, a song easily described as a West Coast flow, featuring smooth, piano-fueled beats.

Stream the digestable project below. It is seven tracks short and has catchy, nostalgic vibes. It isn’t a bad release from one of Drake’s latest producers.
