Minnesota-based Nigerian singer Obi Original shares ‘No Talking’ visual: Watch

Editor’s Note (January 19, 2021, 3:00 PM EST): The words “and Igbo” has been added.

Obi Original, real name Obiora Obikwelu, comfortably tells a love story about missing his lover and being intimate with her in his native tongue (Yoruba and Igbo) and English. Currently based in Minnesota, Obi sees Black love as magical and groundbreaking. He also feels that Black women and their magical touches aren’t celebrated to its full extent.

I wanted to create a song that not only celebrates Black love but a song that celebrates Black women. He also talks about Black women in his life and how they have pushed him to become a better person. Black women are worthy of love where they can be their authentic selves, Mr Original states.

Watch the arresting music video treatment below. Ransom Beatz produced the record with Obi Original. Do you hear the guitar at the end? Have you heard how the drums come in at the beginning?
