Stream Accra Dancehall artist Larruso’s new album ‘Sounds from the Slums’

Last month, Ghana’s fast-rising artist Larruso released a seven-track project called ‘Sounds from the Slums’ on Jadon Shatta Entertainment, which details the various ups and downs on his journey to stardom. Kicking off the project with a major cosign from DJ Khaled on the opening track, ‘Make A Way’ details a temporary moment during lockdown filled with grudges and downfalls. During that time, like millions of others, he felt alone and uncertain about his future.

Aside from ‘Midnight’ being one of my favourites from the project because of its hilarious promotional video of him dancing with a vixen and appearing to choke her, I rate ‘Don’t Shout’ highly. The uptempo Amapiano club jam brightens the project and welcomes the fresh vibe.
‘War’ has the infectious energy and “drama” to make anyone with a brain go crazy on the dancefloor. It’s a song that I wouldn’t mind hearing his fellow Ghanaian artist, Black Sherif, shine on.
Listen to ‘Sounds from the Slums’ below to hear Larruso tell us how he is a survivor and encourage his fans to keep going and winning. Don’t let the struggle deceive you. Be a believer.
