Watch Killer Mike perform ‘Exit’ on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert
Last night, Killer Mike brought a cathartic performance of ‘Exit 9’ to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, with an intimate acapella verse at the end of the song that showcased the unique vocal talents of his backing choir, The Midnight Revival.

The well timed performance (the song has been trending on Instagram) came on the heels of Mike’s appearance on The View yesterday, where he discussed his recent GRAMMY sweep, in which he won awards in all three major Rap categories: Best Rap Album for ‘Michael’, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for ‘Scientists & Engineers’ (featuring Future, André 3000, and Eryn Allen Kane).
‘Michael’ has been a fixture on DSPs since the award honors, yielding a 700% increase in streams, including a huge spike among younger listeners. The awards are the culmination of a year’s worth of honours and accolades, including two BET Awards nominations for ‘Scientists & Engineers’, year end nods from New York Times, Billboard, Esquire and more, appearances on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Kelly Clarkson, The Shop: Uninterrupted, The Breakfast Club, Sway in the Morning, Idea Generation, and much more.
