Kid AlpHa, a British-Nigerian singer-songwriter, put out his new song ‘Turn Me On’ yesterday. The track is about feeling a woman’s love, heartbreak, and past lovers. The song is a smooth, danceable production that could sit on your chill weekend Afrobeats playlists, or any romantic R&B playlists. This release marks the first time we’ve seen Kid AlpHa’s real face on his cover art—which makes us think he is ready for the next level of his career.

At the impressionable age of eleven, he moved to the United Kingdom from Lagos, Nigeria. Before that, at eight-years-old, he was part of the church choir and played instruments. Now, he’s living out his dreams—right before our eyes. To support the new Afrobeats artist, stream his latest record ‘Turn Me On’, which played on BBC 1 Xtra yesterday, below.
