Every song on Idowest’s new project, ‘Mafia Culture, Vol 2.0’, was a delight to hear. It doesn’t keep one musical style, and it has some world-class features like Davido on ‘Caro’, Patoranking on ‘Shamaya’ and Zlatan on ‘Famo’. If you want a crash course on what’s coming out of Nigeria right now, it is an excellent place to start. Also featured on the project is one of my favourite new artists, Bella Shmurda.
