Indie Rock duo Freedom Fry shares appropriate song for the times: Listen to ‘Tell Me It’ll Be Alright’

Right now, more than any other time in my life, people are looking for the silver lining in the sky. People are rightfully panicking and uncertain of their futures, but a song like Freedom Fry’s makes us feel hopeful. Also, the construct of the record makes us feel like we’re riding in the hills, the sun is shining, the air is clean, and we’re singing along with smiles on our faces. It takes us back to a world where seemed to be okay. People weren’t sick and dying at rapid rates. The “invisible enemy” didn’t exist.

Opening the song with lyrics that coincidentally speak to what can potentially be our experiences post COVID-19, ‘Tell Me It’ll Be Alright’ helps me to remain calm, optimistic and grateful for my current situation. We hope that everyone is safe, healthy, and doing that part to help us get to the silver lining we want and need. Check out the song that the duo recorded before lockdown in California State. Joey Waronker (Beck, Atoms for Peace) played the drums. Ben Collins (Frontman of Polyvinyl artist Minihorse) played the electric guitar.
