“I turn my crumbs into a loaf.” — Benny the Butcher; Not bad for someone who spent his early years decoding lessons.

Last week, Benny the Butcher released the official music video shot in Miami for his new single ‘Iight Iight’. As the Buffalo, New York native hustlin’ star stands on the dock of a boat, he raps about his personal elevation (once living in a roach-infested home to one made from marble), floor sets at basketball games from the FEDS tapping his grandmother’s phone to catch him, and more jolting experiences. One of my personal favourite lines from the song is the one where he mentions an American television personality and actress (”one shot rearrange niggas faces like NeNe Leakes”). Check out the two-minute-plus offering below. It is out now through Black Soprano Family/Griselda Records.
