Beatport —The World’s Largest Music Store For DJs— Announce Beatport Awards 2014
Beatport, the world’s largest music store for DJs, today (February 13) opened up voting for all Community Choice categories in this year’s Beatport Awards. The awards are aimed at recognizing the music and creative forces and labels who drove the evolution of electronic music culture in 2013.
Now (February 13) through Friday, February 28, music fans can cast one vote a day for their favorite nominee in each of the following Community Choice categories:
– Track of the Year
– Artist of the Year
– Label of the Year
– Album of the Year
In addition to the fan-selected Community Choice awards, Beatport will reveal the winners of the following categories based on Beatport sales activity:
– Best-Selling Original Track of the Year
– Best-Selling Remix of the Year
– Best-Selling Album of the Year
– Best-Selling Compilation of the Year
– DJ Choice Award (the track appearing on the most DJ charts)
Finally, a panel of Beatport staff experts and dance music veterans will select special honors for the following categories:
– Track of the Year
– DJ of the Year
– Best Musical Collaboration
– Best New Artist
– Lifetime Achievement
All winners will be announced on Friday, March 7. More details on where to follow the winner announcements will be released as the date approaches.
