English singer Ashleigh Bankx shares official video for ‘Angel’: Watch

Anyone who opens their music video with a clip from Nina Simone’s Netflix original documentary about Black people being the “most beautiful creatures in the world” is on a different wave. Who is it? It is rising British singer-songwriter Ashleigh Bankx, displaying a velvety voice, belting out and casually rapping lyrics about guilty pleasures, self-liberation, and society. Of Zimbabwean roots, to me, her looks are striking and bare strength with a unique sense of style. If you feel like you can hold someone for the rest of their life, and Black love is delightful to you, you will appreciate the moments shared in this artwork. Watch the official music video for ‘Angel’ below, directed by Lutch Media.
