Watch Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake praise God in ’Worship’, produced by DJ Snake
“It is work, no be luck”

Today, on Eid (Friday, March 20), Nigerian Afrobeats acclaimed star Asake blessed us with his latest praise record, ‘Worship’, produced by the legendary DJ Snake. On the upbeat song, Mr Money sings about trust, praise, purpose and getting closer to God Almighty. In particular, we take pleasure in the second verse. He croons about knowing that God is with him at all times, protecting and guiding him through life.
The official music video finds the shining star beachside with parishioners, who stand with him in clean white garments to praise God. Their smiling faces bring glee and hope to most of their viewers.

Recently, online fans had the privilege of seeing Asake at Mecca attempting to touch the Kaaba. If nothing else was gathered from those viral clips, the fact that he seems to live what he sings is satisfying.
The bright festival-friendly musical collaboration comes after his successful joint project with Nigerian superstar Wizkid entitled ‘Real’.
From 2022, we enjoyed watching and supporting Asake’s inevitable God-fuelled ascension in the global music scene. With the 2x GRAMMY-nominated artist placing God at the centre of his life and career, we believe he will continue to experience more good things than bad in his life.
Stream the praise music below. It’s celestial and doesn’t feel forceful.
The song ‘Worship’ was debuted live during his historic headlining Red Bull Symphonic performance (we were there), marking him as the first African artist to lead the orchestral showcase in the United States.
About the track, Asake shared, “Working with DJ Snake allowed us to create a song that feels universal. It represents the energy we feel when we connect to something greater than ourselves. I wanted the video to let the music speak for itself.”
“The track communicates how we both feel right now. Same energy. Asake came with the vibe he’s known for, and I didn’t want to overthink it. We just made something honest, something people can feel everywhere”, he concluded.
